Niall McClean, an All Ireland champion of the fiddle and his wife Bronagh, a First Class Honours degree of music, are household names in the traditional music field throughout Ireland and beyond, having been involved with many genres of music over a 20 year period

The McClean family are held in high regard for their performances of traditional, folk and contemporary pieces in the music and song tradition.

Niall has shared the stage with many artists, touring USA on two successful tours covering over 20 states with the Irish Tenors, performing both classical and traditional music. He has also shared the stage with many leading Irish artists including Sharon Shannon, Beoga, Tommy Flemming, Frankie Gavin and De Dannan and played alongside Planxty at an international festival in Holland.

Another of Niall’s specialisms is playing for dancers. He is a regular contributor at local Irish dance festivals and has played as lead fiddle at the Ulster Dance Championships on many occasions.

Niall recently played alongside Brendan De Gallai, originally a principal dancer and director of Riverdance and alongside Lauren Smyth, current lead of Riverdance.

Niall also recorded a series for RTE where his own compositions were performed and has appeared on many TV and Radio stations across Ireland and Europe.
